Wall*E – Despite him looking an awful lot like he was inspired by Johnny Five, I am really looking forward to Wall*E, the latest installment from Disney/Pixar. I don’t know why, but I feel like I am the only one. How come Wall*E isn’t feeling the love?
Presto Change-Oh No – LatteGirl pointed out to me this morning as she was heading off to school (her last day of the year), that “You are saying good-bye to me as a Second Grader for the last time. The next time you see me… I will be a third grader.” It seems she gets a particular thrill watching me get frustrated with the fact that she seems to be growing up so fast and that (as she is also usually quick to point out) there is nothing I can do about it.
Best out of context quote of the week – Has to go to Izzymom, who in a discussion e-mailed back to me, “Clinging to my delusions is great exercise.” I knew there was a reason I loved to read her blog. (And if you don’t… you should be too.)
One of these days Alice, One of these days – We are heading off to the Bronx Zoo tomorrow as a sort of early Father’s Day present for me. I thought this was because I have been saying lately that I have wanted to go there and spend some time photographing the animals. TheWife however said she thought I would just enjoy spending time with other primative apes. Har-de-har-har.
Happy Father’s Day (a bit earlier) to all those dads out there. So what do you have planned for father’s Day?

Happy Father’s Day. I haven’t been to the Bronx Zoo in years.
I think we’ll be having a cookout with my father-in-law.
Just wait until she talks about bras and boys. Mike clutches his chest and drops to the ground writhing every time. (Of course now she does it purposely just to see him do that. LOL!)
LOL Kris! My teenager is afraid to talk about anything girl related with my husband. That is something I would of done to my dad though. Funny!
Happy Father’s day Jay Monster! “Alice” sounds funny! Enjoy your day in the Zoo! Still working with my girls on figuring out what to get their “Papi”… we are stumped!
The reason I’m not looking forward to Wall E is because it reminds me of that annoying robot in Short Circuit.
Man, I haven’t been to the Bronx Zoo since I was a kid. How was it?
You know what a Disney fan I am, but I must admit, I always feel a little underwhelmed towards new Pixar films. I think the only one that I was confident about seeing was Toy Story 2, everything else I wasn’t sold on until after the fact. Of course I was sold on all of them.
My kids are so excited about Wall-E they can barely contain themselves. They keep trying to out do each other with imitations of his voice. It’s all I hear these days…”Waaaaaall-E”
Hope you had a good Father’s Day. The kids and I bought Tuna Man a flat screen for our bedroom. Poor old guy couldn’t see our little TV anymore.
