I was in restaurant once and saw kids that couldn't be over 5 watching movies on their iPods at the table. They had on headphones and weren't bothering a soul. I was equally shocked and impressed with this. Both hubby and I have an mp3 player (Hubby has a U2 and I have an X5). I'm not sure when it's appropriate for a kid to get one, though.
