I actually enjoy how different your blog is. I'm assuming that your personality is what makes your blog different and interesting. What will that guy say today?

You say that you are writing for you. Then write whatever you want. You'll always get criticisms, any way you steer it. What you'll get are readers and comments, time and time again, who like to read what you have to say, regardless of if they agree with you or not. And if you are true to all sides of you here, you'll be a happier guy. Don't hold back.

I'm personally in a "stay the course, but enough with the holding back" camp. Though I already like what's here enough to keep me coming back, I don't see what harm could come from letting it all hang out. Bottom line - this blog should be a no-holds-barred site of whatever YOU want it to be. The thing that keeps people coming back isn't your politics or your family matters... it's YOU. As long as you keep on being the lovable, up front and open you that reeled us in from the beginning, you can't go wrong.

I say don't hold back. And post whatever the heck you want to.
It's your blog. Though if you're trying to increase readers, that's
a different story. I like the personal stuff, but there may be
others who want to see strictly political posts. So I guess I'm
just agreeing with Cathy...post whatever's on your mind.

Thanks Cathy, as usual, I sort of left my explanation a bit short of clear. I intend to write for ME. What I think is important. But at times I feel like certain messages get lost because of combining different types of thought, thus pondering "splitting" the thoughts out.

I read some blogs because the blog itself is fascinating. I may not agree with it and I might find the author (s) abrasive, but the blog itself is worthwhile. I read other blogs because I like the blogger. I like their writing style and their words give me something to think or laugh about. I have been a fan of you and your style for a very long time. If you're writing it for the audience, write whatever your e-mailers are asking for but if you're writing for yourself, write whatever is on your mind. I'll still be here, whatever you decide.
