Endurance

Can somebody explain to me how a child can be deathly sick, and still have enough energy to demand attention on such a constant basis that I can barely keep my eyes open?  And yet she is still wide awake and bouncing off the walls because she is so full of energy because she “didn’t do anything all day.”

With miserable weather on the horizon for tommorrow, I will probably keep her home tomorrow again as well, just so she doesn’t relapse… again.  I just hope I can endure another day of this, especially if she is feeling better.

I can’t wait to get back into the office on Thursday, then maybe I can get some rest.

It’s one of those mysteries of life, like how a kid can stick their head between slats on the stair rails, but not get it back out, or how dirty diapers can explode all the way up to their necks. If not for these logic-defying moments, parenthood might be boring!!

Yep, these are the worst of times – although, exploding diapers were pretty bad, too ;o(

    Hang in there.

Hope she’s over her illness soon so you can get some peace and quiet! :)

    Dude, I know…
It’s like aliens take them over.

It’s the nature of the beast.

I hope she’s feeling better by now!

Got something to say?
